Running Water Draw, the prairie watercourse where rancher T. W. Hart set up his headquarters in 1899, the natural feature the town grew up beside.

A little history

Hart is named for rancher T. W. Hart, who hauled his frame house in from Swisher County on mule-drawn skids. The town organized in 1925, when the railroad announced a depot at the site.
