The Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ, a 190-foot steel cross beside I-40 surrounded by life-sized Stations of the Cross statues, one of the largest freestanding crosses in the Western Hemisphere.
A little history
Groom is named for B.B. Groom, first general manager of the Francklyn Ranch. The town was laid out in 1902 along the Chicago, Rock Island and Gulf Railway.
