Field Technician
Starts at $19/hour
Full-time · Amarillo, TX and the surrounding Texas Panhandle
Looking for an active job where you work with real equipment and help connect the communities you grew up around? Come build and maintain our wireless and fiber networks. Competitive pay, solid benefits, and room to grow into splicing, network operations, or a crew lead role.
What you’ll do
- Installs and service calls. Install, configure, and upgrade internet equipment at homes and businesses. Diagnose and fix connectivity, hardware, and software issues so the customer is up before you leave.
- Equipment operation. Run machinery like backhoes, excavators, and directional drills alongside experienced team members. Keep the equipment maintained and report problems early.
- Fiber splicing and termination. Help splice, terminate, test, and document fiber connections.
- Material handling. Load, haul, and stage materials and tools between job sites. Keep the inventory straight.
- Safety. Follow safety rules and wear your PPE, every job, every time.
- Teamwork. Jump in where the crew needs you. Share what you know.
- Quality. Walk the job site, hold the standard, and flag anything that could hurt network performance or how the work looks.
- Documentation. Record what got done, what got used, and what got in the way.
This is physical work: lifting, bending, kneeling, and Panhandle weather in every season.
